Cassie was the beginning of our love for Newfoundlands.  She came into our lives like a whirlwind in 1986.
Cassie wasn't a show dog, but she excelled at water work.  She was often used as a demo dog for water rescue. She also appeared on TV a few times.  On the Col'n Carpenter Show, The Bert Newton Breakfast show and Talk to the Animals.  Cassie had a bombproof temperament and adored everyone and everything.
